2. Clubhouse is officially out of beta mode

Clubhouse is finally open to everyone on all platforms. From the team:

Twelve never-boring months later, we’re thrilled to share that Clubhouse is now out of beta, open to everyone, and ready to begin its next chapter. This means we have removed our waitlist system so that anyone can join. If you have a club, you can post your link far and wide. Are you a creator with an audience? You can bring them all on. If you’re hosting a public event, anyone can attend. You can bring close friends, classmates, family members, coworkers, and anyone else you like — on iOS or Android.

They’ve also got a fancy social media logo – finally.

3. Instagram is experimenting with ways to let users collaborate on platform

Instagram is testing out a new feature called Collab. Tests mean that only a small amount of users have this feature right now.

Collab posts will be owned by both accounts, which means that the view counts will be shared, analytics will be accessible from both accounts, and both names will appear on the content. Pretty cool, actually.

Honestly the easiest way to do this is to show you directly from Vishal Shah, VP of product.

4. New ‘Sensitive Content Controls’ on Instagram are trying to meet people where they are

Instagram is acknowledging that everyone has different opinions on what a social media experience should be and how controlled it should be. They’ve offered yet another solution they’re calling “Sensitive Content Controls”

There are 3 levels: Looser than default, default, and more restrictive. Here’s what it looks like:

5. TikTok has announced a #ForYou Culture Summit

TikTok is still exploding, and they’re getting users together to talk marketing. They’re bringing a bunch of CMOs and users together to learn about tools, branding, and more. From TikTok:

“#ForYou Summit: Culture Driver will debut ground-breaking research essential for taking your brand to the next level. The Summit will feature appearances by many of today’s most culturally innovative CMOs. Join us and gain practical knowledge that will empower your brand to usher in a new era of community-driven culture on TikTok.”

It all makes sense. They’re the fastest growing and are largely uncharted for marketers.
