Shaolin Temple of BooM LOS ANGELES, CA   Alternative / Industrial / Rock
Shaolin Temple of BooM (SToB) is the brainchild of Los Angeles musician and artist David Alvarez. A Shaw Brother's Kung Fu movie aficionado, David first came up with the band name when he was 12 and has stuck with it ever since. He wanted to create "a Kung Fu of music", a force of sound, hence began Shaolin Temple of BooM. (((o)))

SToB released its first EP "ProjecKtor" in 2005 with David Alvarez performing, composing, arranging and producing all of the tracks (with the exception of playing the drums). SToB soon exploded online with a fervent fanbase that spans across the globe. Radio stations began requesting CDs and MP3s including Kerrang! Unsigned Artist Radio, KROQ Locals Only among others. SToB was then invited by EVE TV, which is the largest multi-player game on one server in history, to showcase "Into Nothing" for the premeire of it's inaugural online event and was listened to by over thirty thousand people. Flux/Viacom then invited SToB (The only unsigned band to be invited) to create it's own community via it's website while Flux was still in beta. This community is now home to over 1500 members and continually metamorphosing and evolving into unexplored and yet to be discovered paradigms. Visit www.shaolintempleofboom.com to join in on the experiment.

In 2007, Engl Amps endorsed David Alvarez and promoted this endorsement in music magazines across Europe, including the largest music magazine in Germany, "Rock Hard".

In 2008 SToB released the EP "Deus Ex Machina" featuring a new lineup for upcoming live shows and recordings; Borja Rodrigues, June Kato and Matt Lucich. Deus Ex Machina began radio play on regular rotation on XM Radio's Squizz channel and the band's following continued to grow at a fever pitch.
