Mirage's life story is somewhat incredible. He came out of nowhere, and took a chance on his music dream. For him, “it sometimes seems like a mirage”.

At age 9, Mirage wrote his first rap for a neighborhood talent show and won. Yet he never thought he could actually turn his talent for rapping and writing lyrics into a career. Mirage explains: "At 18, with no money and a shattered dream, a hustler was born with an attitude to never lose in life-period. Running the streets brings trouble, and I got into my share. It changed me and I knew it was time to go back to rapping." His first effort was a mix tape done entirely by freestyling.

Mirage's uncle then took the young rapper under his wing and showed him how to produce music, market himself to nightclubs, and create a business around an image. In a year, Mirage has come a long way from a life of "guns, jail, and drugs." He is now set to prove himself by taking positive risks, and showing the diversity he has in music.

Mirage has the drive and talent to "not let any haters stand in his way." Growing up, he lived in Ohio and also spent time in Atlanta, Little Rock, and Nashville. He credits the moves for shaping his mind to different cultures, but is proud that he's "still reppin' the O."
